Rachel Robinson specialises in bathroom design
Rachel is a bathroom designer at Obsidian Interiors in Cheltenham, and we are bringing you some inspirational images of designs she has recently completed for clients.
Rachel spoke recently about her enthusiasm for design,
"I’ve worked in the design industry for nearly five years, and my passion has always been creating classic, timeless interiors that feel welcoming and full of character. I love layering textures to add depth and warmth, turning every space into something that feels truly lived in and loved."
Take a look at this completed project, her vision and passion for design is obvious :
"Truly one of my favourite projects so far."
"This has been my most ambitious and high-value bathroom design to date at Obsidian Interiors, and one I’m especially proud of.
Since joining the team in 2023, it’s been amazing to watch the company grow and evolve, including the transformation of our beautifully refurbished Cheltenham showroom.
The vision for this Grade II listed Cotswold bathroom was inspired by the magnificent character of the property. My client wanted me to create a space that felt luxurious and one of a kind, and their love of bold, dramatic details encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and approach every decision with real precision and intent. The client was open to my suggestions and working in collaboration with them was truly enjoyable and rewarding.
Designing within a listed property always brings its challenges - from uneven walls and tricky access, to the client’s wish for quartz cladding with fully concealed brassware. To achieve the perfect finish, the brilliant installer created a clever ‘room within a room,’ allowing a new even surface to work from, ensuring every line and junction could align seamlessly and highlight the beauty of the quartz.
The result is a bathroom that feels bold yet inviting. Farrow & Ball’s Card Room Green wraps the room in warmth, while gold and copper accents bring a welcoming glow. The veined quartz and large chandelier add just the right amount of drama to tie it all together."
