A fridge and freezer combination has been a popular choice for some time.  With one section stacked on top of the other, use of floor space is minimised, making this format an ideal choice for the smaller kitchen.  The range is mind-boggling, from the small freezer on top of an often larger fridge to the 50:50 half freezer and half fridge, there are numerous variations in ratio.  Sometimes the freezer is below the fridge, sometimes the freezer has drawers, we have self defrosting and frost free options, single compressor and twin compressor, and with thanks to our transatlantic friends we noy have the side by side variety, often called the American fridge freezer.
