Trends incoming for 2025, what's hot for bedroom design this year?
As we are seeing with kitchens and bathrooms there is an rising interest in character rooms, and the minimal white on white bedrooms are fading into the past. Bedroom design trends are leading towards more colour, patterns and textures where a cosy room can be created satisfying nostalgic memories and delivering a calm but warming mood.
It looks like pinks and pale yellows are set to be big this year according to many interior designers.
Sustainable materials will be important, such as recycled stone and glass surfaces and reclaimed timber. Rich dark timbers with bold grain patterns for floors and furniture will surely add to that vintage charm, and combined with patterned cushions or throws, should satisfy our nostalgia.
Headboards.
Feature headboards will be an option, where the headboard becomes a statement. A padded headboard covered in a colourful or patterned material can be a very simple and cost effective way to create a cosy feature. Metal and brass headboards will always be around, and of course solid timber in a rich warm shade will make a great feature headboard too.
Storage.
Maximising space by careful robe and drawer system design will be important, so it's likely we will see a bit more focus on built in furniture, and in particular bespoke systems designed to fit into unusual spaces and to fit with sloping ceilings. Making great use of space will be high on most wish lists.
Walls
Wall paper could be making a comeback, particularly for creating feature walls or areas, and some designers can see the papered ceiling as a feature becoming fashionable. However far you decide to take the wall paper concept, it is certainly going to be one way to create impact in your design using bold colours and patterns.
